Musician, Songwriter, Recording Artist

He was born in Elkhart, Indiana and started playing the guitar when he was 15 years old. He fell in love with songwriting around the age of 18 and has always been inspired by and loved the Blues and Rock guitar.

His first guitar was a silver Aria Pro that his brother-in-law bought for him. He was so proud of it that he left the tags on the headstock for a whole year. Jamie's dad taught him how to form open chords which gave him a good foundation for playing the guitar.

In an effort to teach himself about the guitar and music theory, Jamie checked out as many books as possible from the local public library. To his parents dismay, Jamie dropped out of high school to devote more time to learning music and exploring his passion of playing guitar.

Armed with a hand me down amp, a cassette recorder and a stereo for playback, he began to craft his own expression of rock. Jamie spent much of his time time recording music on cassette tapes and honing songs that would later become his first CD release.

In 2003, using a Zoom Palmtop Studio, Jamie recorded his first and second albums, “The Realization of Life” and “Innovation Never Phelt So Good.” Recording and releasing his first albums, allowed Jamie the opportunity to hear himself on the radio for the first time, as local FM station 103.9 The Bear picked up his tracks for airplay rotation during their “homegrown hour.” Local radio AirPlay would also open the door to the live recording of an episode of OpenStudio, which aired on PBS.

With the goal of enhancing his understanding and comprehension of music, Jamie attended the University of Indiana South Bend, where he learned about digital recording as well as music history and theory. His education created a passion for recording and producing, which inspired Jamie to build his own home studio where he now records the instrumentation and vocals for his music.

In September of 2014, Jamie moved to Louisville, Kentucky where he finished recording the songs that make up his third album. He released "Tha Jams' Rock" through CDBaby.com on January 27th, 2015 and later that year he would take to the stage for his first live performance at Lettersong Calligraphy and Art Gallery in Louisville, KY. In September of 2015 the album "Tha Jams' Rock" was added to WCHQ 100.9 fm and garnered plays on the radio in Louisville.

On July 23rd, 2016 Jamie played at the "HomeGrown Heroes Festival" in Louisville, KY that was held at The New Vintage. This was a dream come true for him as it was the first time he had his name on a concert ticket.

On July 28th, 2017 he performed at Tim Faulkner Art Gallery in Louisville, KY as part of The Radiomen Return to Louisville Event. Throughout all of 2017 and most of 2018 he spent his time writing and recording his album "Synchronized Noise" which he states is without a doubt the best music he has ever created. The music he wrote for these tracks have elements that incorporate Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Punk and Metal.

It's clear he wanted to create songs that are diverse and those that make up "Synchronized Noise" do a great job of expressing his musical creativity. In 2018, he partnered with AWAL for distribution and looks forward to live performances and recording material for his fifth album that is slated for 2020.
